About Me

Hi, I’m Nicole, but you can call me Nico.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving California, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. I work with thoughtful, reflective adults (and those learning to be) who feel overwhelmed on the inside even when everything looks “fine” on the outside. Together, we explore the deeper layers of your anxiety, identity, relationships, and internal world - helping you reconnect with who you truly are.

My Path to Becoming a Therapist

I earned my B.S. in Psychology and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Santa Clara University.

My training began at YWCA Silicon Valley, supporting children, teens, and adults impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. That work shaped me profoundly - I carry those stories, that resilience, and that reverence into every therapeutic space.

I later completed a Post-Master’s Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, working with adults in both the Intensive Outpatient Program and the outpatient clinic. I facilitated groups focused on self-compassion, anxiety, depression, letting go, and shifting unhelpful thought patterns.

Before opening my private practice, I worked at Two Chairs in San Francisco, providing virtual therapy to adults across California. I’ve been in private practice since 2021, and I love this work deeply.

Outside of Therapy

I love spending time with my partner, our two cats (Goose and Barrel), and our people. I’m a committed bookworm, a loyal Netflix re-watcher, and someone who occasionally enjoys a run or hike when the conditions are just right. These parts of my life remind me daily of the values I bring into therapy: curiosity, presence, and genuine connection.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply - people who are functioning on the outside but feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure why old patterns keep resurfacing. Many of my clients are navigating:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and internal pressure

  • Perfectionism and burnout

  • Relationship patterns and emotional disconnection

  • Identity shifts, including early parenthood and major life transitions

  • Grief, loss, and meaning-making

  • Self-compassion and personal growth

  • Values clarification and sexuality exploration

Whether you’re feeling stuck, questioning who you are, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, therapy can offer a grounded place to slow down and look inward.

What’s it like to work with me?

I show up as a warm, steady, and emotionally attuned presence. Therapy with me is collaborative and rooted in real, honest conversation. Some weeks you may explore big feelings or long-standing patterns; other weeks you may simply need a place to land. We’ll move at your pace.

I help you make sense of the “why” behind your reactions, patterns, and emotional experiences - not as a checklist, but as a deeper inquiry into what matters and what’s asking for your attention. My role is to offer reflection, insight, and gentle challenge while supporting your inner wisdom and autonomy.

Clients often tell me they feel more grounded, understood, and connected to themselves through our work - not because they’ve “fixed” anything, but because they’re finally meeting themselves with clarity and compassion.

If any part of this speaks to you, I’d love to connect and see if we’d be a good fit. You can schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to get started.
